Response to Senate Inquiry on the Australian Education Amendment Bill

School education needs to prepare students for jobs of the future that will stem from ideas and knowledge. This is why creativity, resilience, entrepreneurial skills and global awareness are more important than ever. Our current education system’s one-size fits-all approach is leading to growing achievement gaps and disengaged young people. Developing great teachers and creating ideal conditions for students to learn is the key to solving this problem.
We’re working with schools and universities to improve teaching quality and help teachers develop students’ curiosity, creativity and thinking skills. We’re working across states and with the State and Commonwealth government, creating opportunities for policy makers, educators and students to come together and showcase changes in action.
