Mr Nichols is a Health Policy Research Analyst with a Masters of Science in Dietetics. His major projects have focused on Australian policy activities aimed at reducing dietary sodium intake, the Health Star Rating front-of-pack labelling system, oral health in Australia. More recently, his work has focused on the need for structural reforms to address complexity and inefficiency in Australia’s health system. Mr Nichols is passionate about health inequality and primary prevention, leading him to pursue a career in public health policy. He has authored or contributed to policy submissions, peer-reviewed papers and technical publications, and provides ongoing support to the Mitchell Health National Policy Strategy.
