A former Federal Minister for Finance, Lindsay Tanner held the seat of Melbourne from 1993 to 2010. He retired from politics in 2010 and is now a Vice Chancellor’s Fellow and Adjunct Professor at Victoria University and a special adviser to corporate advisory firm Lazard Australia.  In 2011, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) accorded Lindsay the rare distinction of an Honorary Fellowship (FCIPS) the first to be bestowed outside of the UK.

Lindsay is the author of several books, including Sideshow (2011), Crowded Lives (2003), and Open Australia (1999).
